Une petite révision sur les modaux si celà vous tente. Petite mise en bouche pour bien en comprendre le sens puis d'autres exercices plus difficiles suivront :
- Construire des phrases de même sens en employant may (incertitude) ou must (quasi-certitude) et en supprimant les adverbes perhaps ou certainly.
1. Perhaps, I'm wrong.
2. It's certainly a good film.
3. They are certainly waiting for us.
4. Perhaps, she is not at home.
5. Perhaps, we'll go to Scotland next summer.
6. There's certainly a service station in the village.
- Contexte passé : "may ou must + have + participe passé"
1. Perhaps I made a mistake.
2. You have certainly seen this film.
3. Perhaps he didn't see us.
4. It certainly cost them a lot of money.
5. They were certainly having dinner.
6. He certainly felt he had been deceived.
