Bonsoir, pour ceux qui été déjà là il y a quelques mois, vous vous rappellez de mon futur probable job cet été aux USA, beh aujourd'hui ils m'ont envoyé un email car j'ai oublié de répondre à une question dans le document que je devais joindre.
Pouvez vous m'aider à corriger mes plus grosses fautes s'il vous plaît car déjà même en Français c'est pas facile à répondre?
Voilà ce qu'il me demande:
as a participant of a YMCA program, regardless of your placement site, you will be a role model to everyone with whom you have contact. As such, you are expected to model positive values, such as Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Please describe your own personal values.
I would say I'm a person pretty responsible, I'm able to manage on my own if needed and also my uncles and aunts let me look after my little cousins when they go out whereas in my family there are many girls who could do it. I've a great respect of the others, because I think I've been very well brought up and I have always respected the others, my friends as the strangers. I'm a caring person because I've already told you I love looking after children or teenagers, playing with them, helping them with their homework.... That's why it would be too great to teach them sport, we will be able to share very good moments together, enjoy our passions and I'm sure that even if at the very beginning I'll have a hard time to express myself I'll do my best to make them laugh because despite they will be there to do sport, they will especially be there to enjoy themselves. To conclude, I think my best value is the honesty. Everyone says it to me. I'm a sincere person who never lie. And the proof, I just wrote you that I'll have some difficulties at the very beginning with my English, I could have said I'm almost bilingual but no, coming over and working in the USA will also allow me to improve my English. Well, I'd finish by saying I'm a trusty person to whom you can ask for many things.
Bon voilà, si jamais vous voyez aussi des choses à rajouter n'hésitez pas, vous savez très bien que ce n'est pas pour obtenir une note mais pour obtenir un job!

Juste une ou deux petites choses qui me sont venues à l'esprit:
je ne pense pas que 'trusty' s'emploie pour une personne. On dit plutôt 'trustworthy' .
' despite' est une préposition et doit être suivi d'un nom, pas d'une proposition.
( C'est comme en français : malgré est suivi d'un nom, et malgré que n'existe pas )
Donc dans le 1er cas, je dirais 'although... '
Dans le 2ème , je dirais : they will be there... and to have fun as well.

Beh pourtant trusty signifie "fiable digne de confiance" donc en qui peut-on être digne de confiance hormis une personne?

Moi, je te donne le terme que j'ai le plus souvent entendu ou lu dans tout ce qui touche au recrutement.
Je viens aussi de regarder ce qu'ils disent dans le Collins Cobuild Dictionary ( un dictionnaire unilingue ) : " Trusty things and animals are reliable because they have always worked well in the past ; a rather old-fashioned word. eg My trusty weapon was within reach at all times . I tied up my trusty horse. "
En plus , ça a l'air d'être un mot un peu ' dépassé'.
Trustworthy : " someone who is trustworthy is reliable and responsible so that you can trust them completely. "
Ce serait bien si un anglophone te donnait son avis.

Quand j'ai vu ton post ce matin j'ai pensé effectivement que c'était urgent et je n'ai pas "cherché midi à 14 h " surtout à 8h du matin

Oui je sais très bien Lucile et je vous en remercie!
Et oui ça me tient à coeur car en plus de vivre une expérience extraordinaire dans un pays anglophone ça me permettra surtout de progresser énormément avec mon Anglais car vu qu'après en septembre je vais (si je suis accepté) aller étudier au Canada anglophone, je serais beaucoup plus confiant en arrivant là-bas et j'aurais plus de facilités à suivre les cours et obtenir mon année.

I would say I'm a fairly responsible young man able to take care of myself if necessary, and also my uncles and aunts let me babysit my little cousins when they go out even though there are many girls in my family who could do it.
