L'eau sur terre/ thème
Message de taconnet posté le 07-10-2008 à 16:20:03 (S | E | F)

Bonjour.

*cadran solaire = sundial

Bonsoir Taconnet...

... et merci de me donner l'occasion d'utiliser un idiotisme (sic) très en vogue puisque je peux affirmer que : " I've had my work cut out with this diabolic exercise !"

For an alien who would land onto this earth without knowing anything about it, water would be as much amazing as time.
Water is a so supple and fluid substance, always about to fade away and verging on non-existence, that it looks like an idea or a feeling. It is also like time which was measured for long by using water,in the same way as shadow and sand. The sundial and the sandglass bridge a gap between time and shadow, sand and water. Stronger than shadow, more subtle than sand, water has neither smell nor flavour, neither colour nor shape. It has no size. It always tends to go/run elsewhere than where it is.
What is wonderful about water is the fact it is everywhere, but sometimes discreetly.

Hello Taconnet,

For an alien who would land on this earth, not knowing anything about it, water would be as amazing as time.
Water is such a fluid, changing matter, so close to disappearance or nothingness that it resembles an idea or a feeling. It also looks like the time it has for a long time been used to measure in the same way as shadow or sand.
The sundial and the sandglass throw a bridge over time and shadow, sand and water. More solid than shadow, more subtle than sand, water is odourless, flavourless, shapeless. It has no size. It always tends to flow away from where it is. What is magic about water is that it is everywhere but sometimes discreetly

Thank you very much , that was rather difficult !

Hello,

For a human being, came from an other place, who would fall on this Earth and would ignore everything about it, water would be nearly an object of astonishment as time.
Water is a matter so supple, so moving, so near to faint and nonexistance that it looks like an idea or a feeling. It also looks like time, that it used to measure for a long time, as much as shadow and sand. The sundial and the hourglass set up a bridge between time and shadow, sand and water. More solid than shadow, more subtle than sand, water has no smell, no flavour, no color, no shape. It hasn't any size. It always tends to go elsewhere. What is wonderful in water, it's that it's everywhere, but sometimes with discretion.

I think I made a lot of mistakes, I find this exercise very hard.

Bonsoir

For an alien , who would crash on earth and would ignore anything about it , water would be a daze almost as time .
Water is such a limber and mobile substance so close to vanishing and from non-existence that it looks like an idea or a feeling . It also looks like time, about which for a long while it has been a measuring base , as well as shadow and the sand .the sundial and the sandglass throw a bridge between time and shadow, sand and water . More substancial than shadow more subtle than sand, water have no smell,no taste,no colour, no shape . It has no size .It always incline go somewhere else than where it is . What is wonderful with water , it is that it is everywhere, but sometimes in very small quantities .

Il faut toujours essayer
Thank you

Bonsoir taconnet,

If an E.T. were to land on Earth without knowing anything about it, water would be a matter of amazement, almost as much as time.
Water is a substance which is so adaptable, so fluid, yet so near to vanishing and inexistence that it is like an idea or a sentiment.
It is also similar to time, which for a long period it served to measure, just like shadows and sand.
The sundial and the hourglass link time to the shadow, sand and water.
More solid than the shadow, more subtle than sand, water is odourless, tasteless, colourless and shapeless. It has no size.
It always tends to flow away from where it is.
What is really marvellous about water is that it is everywhere, but sometimes discreetly.

Merci !

Beaucoup d'étoiles ,mais j'ose me lancer:

For an alien , coming from elsewhere, who would crash down on this earth and who would not know anything about it , water would be almost as amazing as time.
Water is such a so soft material ,so fluid, so close to the blackout and to the no-existence that it looks like an idea or a feeling .

The sundial and the hourglass throw like a bridg between the time and the shadow.More substancial than the shadow , more subtle than the sand , water has neither smell , nor flovour , nor colour, nor shape .It has not any size .It always tends to get elsewhere than where it is . What is wonderful with water is that it is everywhere, but sometimes with to much discretion
Quelle angoisse jusqu'à la correction
merci

Bonsoir,
For the pleasure of English and tricks...

-- Would an alien happen to fall onto Earth without the faintest idea of what it can be , water would be a matter almost as astounding as time.. Water is something so supple, so changing, so close to vanishing or non-existence that why not comparing it with an idea or a feeling ? It also looks like time which it used to measure for so long ,in the same way as shadows and sand. The sundial and the sandglass stretch a bridge between time and shadows, sand and water. More solid than shadows, more subtle than sand, water has no smell, no taste, no colour,no shape. It has no size (either). It always tends to run away from where it is.

-What is wonder* about water is that it is everywhere, and* sometimes(so) discreetly.

1) Wonder (après what) non comptable.

Bonjour Taconnet,

For an alien, who would fallen on this earth which he would all ignore from it, the water would be an object of stupor nearly as much the time. Water is a matter so supple, so moving, so close of the blackout, and of the non-existence, it look likes at an idea or a feeling.
It also looks like time it has longtime served to mesure as the same way as shadow and sand. The sundial and the hourglass throw a bridge between time and shadow, sand and water. More solid than shadow, more subtle than sand, the water has neither smell, nor flavour, nor color, nor shape. It has no size.It always has tends to go elsewhere than there where it is.What is wonderful about water is that it is everywhere but at times with discreetly.

Merci.

Bonjour.

J'ai traduit cette expression par : « to build up a connection »

Voici ma proposition.

For beings coming from other planets and falling on Earth, who would know nothing about it, water would be an object of amazement, almost as much as time would be.
Water is such a fluid material, so mobile, so close to fading, to no-existing, that you would think it is an idea or a feeling. It also look like time, which it was long used to measure, the way shadow or sand were.
The sundial and the sandglass build up a connection between time and shadow, sand, water. More solid than shadow, more subtle than sand, water has no smell, no taste, no colour, no shape. Water has no size either.
It is always inclined to go elsewhere.
What is marvellous with water is that it is everywhere, but sometimes so discreetly.

Je vous remercie de votre participation.

For a being, come besides, which would fall on this Earth and which would be unaware of all of it, water would be an object of stupor almost as much as time. Water is a matter so flexible, so mobile, so near to fainding and inexistence which it resembles an idea or a feeling. It also resembles the time, which it was a long time used to measure, as well as the shade and sand. The dial solaire* and the sand glass throw a bridge between time and the shade, sand and water. More solid than the shade, more subtle than sand, water has neither odor, neither savour, neither color, nor form. It does not have size. It always tends from to go away elsewhere than where it is. What there is the marvellous one in water it is that it is everywhere, but sometimes with discretion.

Hello, everybody..

Une erreur "mortelle" s'est glissée..ligne 4 : "looks like "..3ème sg du présent simple "the rub"!..See you.

Bonjour.

Hello Violet.

Have you ever seen the film « The sprinkler sprinkled » ?

This French short black-and-white silent comedy shot was filmed by L. Lumière in 1895.(also known as The Waterer Watered and L'arroseur arrosé)

O ariane ..how good you are !! five points!

33 ) To lack : to want = manquer de.
- This man lacks humour : he will never interest me!
- That tea wants some sugar...

: good enough, well enough, quickly enough.
-préposé (devant!)si nom commun : assez de ..
EX: Have you got enough money with you?/ Have you got enough humour to interest me ?!!..otherwise, you can go and fly your kite!(à vous de travailler, un peu!)

Rieuse violet still teasing you!..
