Hello! I'm Céline DION! Here is my life:
> 1968: I was born on March, 30th in Charlemagne, Québec. I have 13 sisters and brothers.
> 1968-1977: I began singing. I divided my time between my school studies and lessons at the 'Académie d'Art lyrique et dramatique'.
> 1980: I recorded 'Ce n'était qu'un rêve' in the family's kitchen. My mother had written the lyrics and my brother Jacques had composed the music. The producer René Angelil was impressed by it and produced an album: 'La Voix du Bon Dieu'.
> 1982: My second single, 'D'amour ou d'amitié' was an instant hit. I became famous throughout the French-speaking world and I won a lot of awards.
> 1983: I recorded my début album, 'Du soleil au cœur', which produced another smash hit single, 'Mon ami m'a quitté'. I won 4 'Félix' awards (at the Québec music awards).
> 1984: When Pope Jean-Paul II came to Canada in 1984, I was chosen to represent the country's youth. I sang 'Une Colombe'. I also released a new single 'Mon rêve de toujours', which was followed by a second album, 'Les oiseaux de bonheur'.
> 1985-86: In November, I was invited to sing at the 'Olympia' music hall in Paris. I won several awards. I recorded a new single entitled 'Billy'. I took some time off, to learn English and re-think my image. When I returned to music, I recorded the single 'Je ne veux pas'.
> 1988: I won the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin with 'Ne partez pas sans moi'. (I represented Switzerland). I won another four 'Félix' awards, then performed 42 dates at the 'Théâtre Saint Denis' in Montreal.
> 1990: 'Unison', my first album in English. 1,7 million copies were sold.
> 1991: I gave a special gala for my fans at the 'Forum de Montréal'. My album 'Dion chante Plamondon' was a huge hit. I was chosen to record the soundtrack to the Walt Disney film 'Beauty and the Beast'.
> 1992: I recorded my second album in English with Prince. I played one of the lead roles in 'Tycoon', the English version of the hit musical 'Starmania'.
> 1993: I recorded a third album in English in November: 'The Colour of My Love'. I also won a Grammy Award for the soundtrack of 'Beauty and the Beast'. The sales of 'The Colour of My Love' soon reached record proportions, topping the 10 million mark.
Very sad event: I lost one of my young nieces, Karine, to the disease cystic fibrosis. Happy event: I became engaged to René Angelil.
> 1994: I gave three concerts at the Olympia in Paris. I took part in the 'Enfoirés au Grand Rex' concert. I had a tour in the USA and in Japan. I got married with René Angelil on 17 December 1994.
> 1995: I worked with Jean-Jacques Goldman and 4,5 million copies of my album 'D'eux' were sold worldwide.
> 1996: Huge hits: a new album in English, 'Falling Into You' (18 million copies worldwide), a 'Victoires de la musique' award. I was invited to sing at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Atlanta. Three billion people watched me.
> 1997: Exhausted, I decided to take a sabbatical and I retired to my West Palm Beach villa in Florida. I returned to the music scene with renewed vigour. 24 million copies of Let's Talk about Love' were sold.
