FormThis tense is formed by the present perfect of the verb to be + the present participleV+ing).
- affirmative : I've been working. He has been working.
- negative: I have not (haven't) been working.
- interrogative : have you been working?
- negative interrogative: haven't you been working?
Use
This tense is used for an action which began in the past and is still in progress; or has just finished.
I have been driving since 9:00 and I haven't arrived yet.
I am sorry I am late,have you been waiting long?
