Diversion de Betty/ Traduction
Message de lucile83 posté le 11-11-2006 à 14:19:26 (S | E | F | I)

Hello,

See you soon

hello lucile,

Bobby wanted to drive Betty to Cairns but she retorted that every year in Australia there are 20 000 road crashes involving kangaroos. That's why the country has special roadsigns to warn the drivers that there are roos. Kangaroos are very big animals and they don't respect the highway code when they cross the roads! When a car crashes into a 60 kilos roo,the accident can be serious.
Therefore the Australian cars companies have created Robo-roo, a dummy for the crash tests, from the human model used to test the cars security.
Bobby stared at her in surprise and said he would come back in the evening.

thank you Lucile, les aventures de B and B sont toujours excitantes !

Hello, (here's my try)

Bobby wanted to bring Betty by car up to Cairns but she answered him that each
year there is 20 000 roads accidents which involve kangaroos in Australia. That's the reason why the country has got special traffic signs in order to warn the drivers that there are kangaroos. Kangaroos are very tall animals and they don't respect the highway code when they cross the roads! When a car crashes into a 60 kg kangaroo the accident can be serious.

Therefore, the australian cars companies have invented Robo-Roo, a crash test dummy in human being image used to test the car security. Bobby looked at her astonishingly and told her he would come back in the evening.

thank you Lucile83

Hello lucile,

Bobby wanted to drive Betty to Cairn but she replied that every year there are 20 000 road accidents involving kangaroos in Australia. That's why the country has got special road signs in order to warn the drivers there are kangaroos. Kangaroos are very big animals and they don't observe the higway code when they cross the roads. When a car bumps into a kangaroo, which weighs about 60kg, the damages could be very serious. So, Australian cars companies have invented "Robo-roo" a dummy for crash tests, identical to human model used to test car's safety.
Bobby looked at her with astonishment and said:

I'll come back later in the evening

Thanks a lot lucile

Bobby wanted to drive Betty up to Cairns but she answered that there are 20, 000 car accidents involving kangaroos every year in Australia. That's why the country has special road signs, warning drivers about kangaroos. Kangaroos are very big animals and they don't respect the Highway Code when they're crossing roads! When a car hits a kangaroo weighing 60 kg, a serious accident may be caused.
So the Australian car companies have invented Robo-Roo, a crash-test dummy like the human model ones used to test the security in cars. Bobby took an amazed look at her and said he would come back in the evening.

See you soon
