make sth out of sb or sth : to understand the meaning of something
make out : to understand sb's character
make up : to put make up on a face so as to look beautiful
make sth up : to invent sth
make up for sth : to compensate for sth
make up with sb : to end a quarrel or a dispute
put oneself across or over to sb : to communicate one's ideas
put sth aside : to ignore it to forget about it /to save sth for later use
put sth away : to put it in its actual place
