a) With what do you take your temperature when you are ill? Could you tell me in a few words what kind of these objects you can have?
b) Wath do you need to wash yourself in the morning ?
At last the answer can be given with sentence, so we can practise.
Could someone answer to the a and b question?

Eh pascal I believe that a pan wasn't a casserole. It is rather something to fry meat or cook eggs, pan cakes as a fry-pan (also called frying-pan) or something to cook cake or bread (cake pan, bread pan, muffin pan).
In a word, it is a cookware to pan out (play on word) your cooking.

so "une casserole" isn't "a pan" but "a casserole"

Réponse: re:exo:la maison de yannloic, postée le 2004-10-21 14:28:13 (S | E)
a casserole is a large dish or an ustensil for cooking a meal.
But as you trouble me. I have checked. And you are right too.
This also can be a saucepan to prepare your gravy (meat juice) and then you put it nto the gravy boat(saucière).

You just use soap liquid soap or not ? I hope you use water too. And to wash your face you need a piece of tissue and something to dry your face.
You also have to brush your hair. What do you need for that ?
With what do you clean your tooth ?

C.To sleep well I need:
a comfortable bed
a warm counter-pane
a soft pillow
D.I put my clothes in a closet
Réponse: re:exo:la maison de yannloic, postée le 2004-10-21 18:10:25 (S | E)
I just need a bed but if yours is confortable in addition you are lucky.
I prefer duvet to counter-pane. But it is my choice.
A closet is correct. You also can be more precise and use clothes closet.
If the closet is big enough to go inside (that's my case at home) you can say walk-in closet.
I also put my skirt on a clothes hanger before placing it in the wardrobe.
And about my moment of quietness ?
Réponse: re:exo:la maison de morenita, postée le 2004-10-21 18:27:53 (S | E)

Well morenita, duvet is correct in english. But doesn't means the same as in french. I use a duvet in duvet cover, because it is more quick and easy to make your bed with a duvet. You know it is made of feather.
the question now is
e) After that I will read a book. Where are my books ? Where can I sit then for having a rest and read ?
Réponse: re:exo:la maison de morenita, postée le 2004-10-22 18:11:19 (S | E)

I'll allow myself to correct a little mistake in your text( I enjoy that

"it doesn't mean" not "it doesn't means"
and in the last sentence I think that you should say :where can I sit then for having a rest & reading
Books are put on the desk,I guess...
Réponse: re:exo:la maison de yannloic, postée le 2004-10-26 18:14:36 (S | E)
Thank you for your correction morenita. What a stupid error i have done.
I put my book in the bookcase and you? I often pick one up and stay in my armchair the time to read it. It is very rare I let a book lay on my bedside table.
