Hello,

See you soon

With us today in our television studio, Barbara Smith. Tell us, Barbara, you've been working at home for nearly three years now, haven't you? How did the whole thing start?

-Well, my firm offered us the opportunity to work at home for a three-month trial period and I decided to take advantage of this proposition.

-How did the staff react? Did they all want to try to work at home?

-No they didn't. It might look surprising, but a great majority of people weren't really interested. The company wanted 15 volunteers, but in fact nine persons only asked for work at home.

Merci.

Working at home

·Hello there and welcome to our fifth broadcast of "Tomorrow's Trends". Today we're going to discuss why computer techies increasingly spend their workday at home. Broadcasting live today with us is Barbara Smith. Say, Barbara, it's been three years now since you've started out working at home. How did it all start ?

·Well, I had been given by the company the opportunity to work at home for a three-month trial period and eventually accepted.

·How did most employees feel about this ? Did they all want to try out working at home ?

·On the contrary. As surprising as it may seem, most people weren't thrilled about it. The company initially wanted fifteen persons to volunteer but only nine persons showed up.
