Salut!

Bon, me voilà de retour après un semestre d'absence à bosser comme un malade pour mon CAPES. Bonne année 2006 à tous et à toutes dit en passant
Je fête mon retour en vous proposant un petit thème assez dur.
Conseils: faites le d'abord sans dictionnaire puis vérifier les mots méthodiquement
Je sens que vous allez aimer

Il a quel âge, votre chien?

L'odeur particulière des salles d'attente chez le vétérinaire. Odeur de poil, de cuir et de désinfectant. Presque une odeur de ménagerie ou de cirque. Henri a plié son manteau sur une chaise et a posé son chapeau dessus. Une dame attend, une panière sur les genoux et un chat dedans, qui bouge, tourne sur lui même et miaule. La dame parle à son chat "tu sais très bien que ce n'est rien..." Henri Prouillan tient Pantalon devant lui, à hauteur de genoux, par le collier. De l'autre main il lui caresse la tête, le peu de poil ras et frisé. La dame dit "il a quel âge, votre chien?"

Mais on se relâche là les coquins et coquines ? ... Je vous ai connu plus motivé(e)s que ça... l'an passé. Magma c'est pas si dur après 5 bonnes lectures. Sincèrement il faut aller au-delà des difficultés lexicales, en plus vous avez droit aux dictionnaires (des synonymes aussi). Je te fais confiance magma! C'est parti.
Coucou Bridgette, je suis content de pouvoir vours refaire BOSSER! Et un spécial Méga bisou à Lucile qui m'a fait apprécier la traduction...

Henri P. holds Pantalon before him, at knee level, by the collar. With his other hand he is stroking his head covered with a few curly hair.
The woman asks : - Your dog, how old is he?

pas sûre du tout du choix du temps...grrr ! et la tête couverte de poils non plus !

Pas mal du tout pour l'instant... Malgré quelques erreurs c'est très prometteur...
C'est un présent de description, et pas, selon moi, un présent de narration. Donc ne vous compliquez pas la tâche avec les temps, mais soyez attentifs aux aspects du présent. (BE + V-ing?(continu) HAVE + V-EN?(perfect) ou SIMPLE?)

J’ai décidé de faire une correction un peu originale… J’ai mis en avant des phrases que je pense incorrectes accompagnées de remarques. Ainsi vous pouvez comparer vos phrases…

· Il a quel âge, votre chien?
“How old is he, your dog?" La répétition du sujet est propre au français, mais ne coule pas de source en anglais
How old, your dog? Style trop abrupt dû à l’absence de l’auxiliaire.
· L'odeur particulière des salles d'attente chez le vétérinaire.
The particular smell of the veterinarian waiting rooms veterinarian alourdit le style. L’article défini THE n’est pas justifié puisque c’est une généralité.
That peculiar smell of vets' waiting rooms peculiar sous-entend une odeur étrange ou désagréable
The Particular smell of the veterinary's waiting room. Veterinary est un adjectif pas un nom

Almost a smell of menagerie or circus. Menagerie et circus sont des dénombrables donc ils doivent être précédés de l’article « A »
