Voici une petite traduction que vous allez adorer

Dans une déclaration à la Chambre des Communes, aujourd’hui, le Premier Ministre a fait part de son inquiétude à propos de la récente explosion de violence et d’émeutes dans les prisons partout dans le pays.

Le conflit sur les revendications salariales des professeurs, qui a amené des milliers d’enfants d’âge scolaire à prendre des vacances de Noël anticipées, a été réglé. Je suis désolée, mais je ne pensais pas que les "quelques jours" que tu avais annoncés auraient été de si courte durée. Je saurai donc pour une prochaine fois. J'envoie tout de même mon travail (je risque...) et m'excuse pour le retard.tu n'es pas en retard car je n'ai rien corrigé en fait, j'ai simplement dit où il y avait des erreurs;je donnerai ma proposition dans quelques jours.

A mon avis, grammaticalement, tout va bien.
Point de vue du sens: 1) a quelque chose de plus fataliste et de plus dramatique que 2), à cause du "will be hit" ! Dans le contexte, 2) rendrait mieux.
Cela dit, ce qui ne va pas très bien, c'est le choix du verbe "to hit". On comprend parfaitement ce que tu veux dire, mais dans cette situation, "to be affected" est plus exact. Au fait, j'imaginerais assez bien un journaliste utilisant ta phrase 1) pour dramatiser la situation.
