Une fois de plus j’ai reçu un mail de Betty. Elle me dit qu’elle est en route pour Cairns, qu’elle arrivera dans quelques heures, et c’est tout ! comment voulez-vous que je ne m’inquiète pas ? elle est jeune, je suis d’accord mais ce n’est pas une raison pour que je sois obligée d’attendre de ses nouvelles chaque jour. Depuis que je la connais elle a toujours fait ça. C’est une gentille fille mais elle ne se rend pas compte que l’on puisse se faire du souci pour elle. Je lui dirai quand elle sera revenue ici. Je crains de devoir attendre 2 mois pour le lui dire. Je ne veux pas non plus l’ennuyer avec cela par e-mail.

Once again I received a mail from Betty. She tells me she drives toward Cairn, she'll arrive over there in a few hours and that's all! How not to be worried? OK, she's young but it's not a reason to have to expect some news from her everyday.
Since I've known her she always practiced like that. She's a nice girl but she doesn't realize people can have concern for her. I'll tell her when she's back. I'm afraid of having to wait for two months to tell her. I don't want to annoy her with that by e-mail.
