"Trough", (o) like in "dot, doll, trolley" ; mangeoire (feeding trough), abreuvoir (drinking trough), pétrin (kneading trough).
"Thorough", "ough" like in "the".

The "o" in "trough" is short like in dot, doll, trolley .
It's the 4th phonetic symbol.
