Petit rappel des cas particuliers.
Le nom sheep (mouton) ne prend pas de s au pluriel.
People : Ne prend jamais de s quand il signifie « des gens », « du monde ».
Pourtant, c’est un nom pluriel qui se construit avec un verbe pluriel.
Hair – luggage – furniture : Ils sont invariables et toujours suivis d’un verbe au singulier.
Ces mots désignent un ensemble. Ce sont des indénombrables.
Pyjamas – trousers : Ils sont toujours au pluriel
Fish – fruit : Ils sont généralement au singulier.
