Je pense que l'entraînement à la reformulation peut nous aider à choisir notre façon de nous exprimer. Voilà donc ce que je vous propose :
Reformulez les phrases en commençant par le mot en majuscules (désolée j'ai un Mac et je ne peux utiliser toutes les option gras, italique and so on.).
Petite aide : 2 solutions pour la phrase n°2, mais il faut changer le verbe pour une des deux
Il vous faut aussi changer le verbe pour la phrase n°4.

1 You can expect DELAYS of up to an hour.
2 Nicola bought GARY'S car.
3 He was very influenced by MUSIC.
4 Susan lent ANGELA all her her CDs.
5 Carol's back problem is being helped by REGULAR SWIMMING.

DELAYS of expected for you, is possible an hour wait

2 Nicola bought GARY'S car.
GARY'S sold his car at Nicola

3 He was very influenced by MUSIC.
MUSIC had very influenced him/her

4 Susan lent ANGELA all her her CDs.
ANGELA listened all CDs when SUSAN lent

5 Carol's back problem is being helped by REGULAR SWIMMING.
REGULAR SWIMMING is the better care for the back problem of Carol's

Je ne connais pas ce type d'exercice, mais j'essaie...
1. Delays of up to an hour can be expected.
2. Gary sold his car to Nicola.
3. Music influenced him.
4. Angela borrowed all Susan's CD's.
5. Regular swimming helps Carol's back problem.

J'attends la correction, car pour certaines phrases, je ne suis pas sûre.

A tout le monde !!
Pour la numéro 4 : "borrowed from ..." est tout à fait correct, mais sera
moins employé.
Pour la numéro 5 :"helps" est ce qui conviendrait le mieux. Mais, ici , dans
la phrase d'origine (eh! oui encore un passif allez-vous dire,mais nos amis
Anglais l'utilisent tellement!) votre auxiliaire est au présent progressif !
Donc, quand vous transformez à la voix active, votre verbe doit reprendre le même temps.
oui, un grand merci à tous ceux qui ont répondu, et aussi à ceux, qui comme moi pendant longtemps, ont essayé chez eux sans oser venir!
