Bonjour !
Pour pouvoir retenir certains verbes à particules, il n’y a rien de plus efficace que de faire des exercices. Je propose 7 phrases avec trois prépositions, et ensuite nous passerons à 7 autres avec les mêmes pré-postpositions. Un moyen de vaincre notre particulophobie....enfin j'espère !
Mettre on, round ou away.
1) She doesn’t want to depend ..... her parents.
2) He ran ..... from his family at the age of five.
3) He travelled ..... the world in eighty days.
4) This time you won’t get ..... with it ( s’en tirer )
5) He’s just gone ..... the corner.

- vmg, salsify, larenaudière, marie : Tout juste. Très bien !
- Tounette : réponses 4, 6 et 7 incorrectes.
- Claire : 4 et 6 incorrectes.
- Bridg : bien, sauf le 4.
- To get away with it ! = s'en tirer sans punition.
- To get along without = s'en sortir seul ( I can't get along without him = Je ne m'en sortirai pas sans lui. )
- To get along with = bien s'entendre avec. ( I got along with him = Je m'entend très bien avec lui. )
NB : J'ai donné 3 prépositions à employer.

EXPLICATIONS
- ON exprime :
- La continuation, la progression
- Le fonctionnement ( la mise en marche d’un appareil par exemple )
- Le contact ( le port d’un vêtement )
- Le mouvement ( Come on ! Move on ! )
- Indication d’un moyen d’expression ( on TV, on the news, on video… )
Aussi : To depend on = dépendre de.
- AWAY exprime :
- L’eloignement ( parfois associé à FAR ), le départ.
- Une idée de disparition, de suppression.
- ROUND exprime :
- Mouvement circulaire, demi-tour
- Retour cyclique
- Passage par une succession d’endroits.
- Visite, tournée, court déplacement.
Voici les sens de ces 3 prépositions. Les connaître nous aidera à pouvoir les utiliser correctement dans les phrases.

To get away with it ! = se sortir indemne, sans pénalité, d'une erreur commise.

Je vois que ça vient plus facilement, et j'en suis très heureuse.
En effet marie, comme c'est difficile de les retenir tous, ce procédé de 3 pré-pospositions me semble être efficace. La preuve, tu n'as plus peur !
Et gewurz, même s'il y a quelques fautes, on ne risque pas d'attendre 3 lustres pour les faire entrer, à ce que je vois.
