Bonjour à tous!

Après un long repos, Weena est de retour avec quelques exercices!!

Traduisez.

1. La personne à qui j'ai demandé n'a pas compris.
2. Il a enfin reçu l'augmentation qu'il espérait.
3. La tante Zelda déteste tous les disques que ses enfants écoutent.
4. Tu devrais nettoyer les outils dont tu t'es servi.
5. Ce chien n'obéit qu'aux ordres que lui donne son maître.
6. Ce n'est pas un problème dont j'aimerais m'occuper.
7. Ce soir, tous les gens qu'a choisis notre invité sont réunis pour cette émission.
8. Quel était le nom du roi à qui Victoria a succédé?
9. Je regrette bien les vieilles chaussures dont j'ai dû me séparer.

Voici comme prévu le corrigé de cet exercice.

1. The person (who / whom) I asked did not understand.
=> Les éléments entre parenthèses pouvaient éventuellement être mis mais ils ne sont pas indispensables.

2. He has finally been granted the rise he was hoping for.
He finally recieved the rise he expected / he hoped for...

3. Aunt Zelda hates all the records her children listen to.

4. You ought to clean the tools you used.
You should...
=> "... les outils dont tu t'es servi." Sous entendu: "tu t'es servi des outils et tu as terminé". C'est une action passée et révolue. Le temps à utiliser est donc le prétérit.

5. That / This dog only obeys the orders his master gives him. => Voix active.
That / This dog only obeys the orders given to him by his master. => Voix passive.

6. That / This is not a problem I would like to deal with.

7. Tonight, all the people our guest has chosen are together for the progamme. => Voix active
Tonight, all the people chosen by our guest are together for the programme. => Voix passive.
Savoir! to choose-chose-chosen ( et non choosed!!)

The answer is.... King William IV - The third son of George III and the brother of George IV.
Born August 21, 1765 - Deceased on June 20, 1837.
His reign : 1830 -1837.
