1. Quand je suis arrivé, ils jouaient au bridge.
2. Nous venions de nous coucher quand nous entendîmes quelqu'un crier "au feu !".
3. Quand Churchill est-il né ? Il est né en 1874. Il est mort en 1965.
4. Nous nous demandions où vous étiez quand nous avons reçu votre carte.
5. Depuis combien de temps les attendez-vous ? Nous les attendons depuis vingt minutes.
6. Je venais de leur écrire quand ils ont téléphoné.
7. Où avez-vous trouvé ces cartes postales ? Avez-vous celles que j'ai achetées à la gare ?
8. Je viens de rencontrer Martin, cela faisait longtemps que je ne l'avais pas vu.
9. Quand se sont-ils mariés ? Ils se sont mariés pendant les vacances.
10. Combien de fois êtes-vous allé à New-York ? J'y suis allé l'été dernier avec ma femme et mes enfants.

3/ When was born Churchill? He was born in eighteen seventy-four and died in nineteen sixty-five.
4/ We were wondering where were you when we've got your card.
5/ How long have you been waiting for them? We've been waiting for them for twenty minutes.
6/ I just wrote them when they've phoned.
7/ Where did you find these postcards? Have you got those one I've bought at the (railway) station?
8/ I just met Martin, it has been a while I didn't see him.
9/ When did they get married? They got married during the holidays.
10/ How many times have you gone to New York? (so far, 0 but I'm leaving tomorrow!!!) I went there last summer with my family (my wife and my children).

Oui, je réponds que je ne suis pas d'accord sur énormément de choses, (rien à voir avec l'amie Grabuge!), je n'ai pas envie de me prendre la tête, mais certines traductions, d'où que soit leur provenance, sont absolument "Fausses"!
