In my point of view, the best way to learn English is to go in an English speaking country for some months.
Because i think that even if you have a pretty good scholar level, when you are really in contact with English people you don't have all the tools to be able to understand and be understood. But it's only my point of view...
And i think that watching movies in the original version is also a good way to acquire a good comprehension of the language and of the pronounciation.
That's it....

if I can to speak my mind , I think that , foreign languages is a story of bath, you must steep in it, otherwise, it's very difficult,
as for me, among others things, I tried to work with movies in my computer in V.O, of course, je trouve cela très payant (sorry, but I don't find any translation for this sentence)
all the best

i'm in england since the beginning of march...yes it's the best way and the only to learn english but it's also the hard way...there's a world between what you learn in school and here....expression, accent...
it seems the first month is the harder....trust me it's true!!!
