I'm working on a song called Especially in Michigan by the red hot chili peppers.
I don't understand the meaning of some expressions so I'll be glad if someone could help me (il doit y avoir une erreur de conjugaison).

Pourquoi emploie-t-on fisherman et pas fishermen ?
Que signifie mitten, dans le dictionnaire je trouve moufle !??
'une moufle pleine d'un pêcheur' !!
Un peu plus loin on retrouve ce même mitten :
Deep in the mitten where
Lions and tigers...
'profondément dans la moufle ou les lions et les tigres' ?
Pour finir une dernière phrase qui m'ennuie :
Cry me a future
When the revelations run amok
'Pleure(s)- moi un futur(e) où les révélations s'enchaîneraient' ?

I think that trying to understand Red Hot Chili Peppers lyrics is an exercise in futility, even if your English is perfect!
That said, I think that the word is most likely fishermen, otherwise it wouldn't make much sense.

In the dictionary, I've found glove without separate fingers but that doesn't make

"A mitten full of fishermen" being grammatically correct, I think that the only thing you can do is take the words as they are, so "une moufle pleine de pêcheurs" is probably the correct translation, and you simply have to wonder why they would include this sort of phrase in their song!
I'll see if I can find the entire lyrics and maybe the context will tell me something.

Well, here are the lyrics as posted on the group's official website:

According to this, the word is indeed "fisherman", but I think that's just because the group is bad at spelling!
As for the "mittens" phrase, I see that the entire song is composed of non-sensical phrases, so I wouldn't worry too much about anything making any sense!
Just translate and enjoy the song.
