Hi everybody !
About less and ness
That less is to indicate an opposite sense, because sight is "vue" and sightless is "aveugle" does less is for the negative sense ? And How to pronunce it "saitlis or saitles?"
It is the same for ness. It is for the negative, the bad sense no the positive sense. Because sik is "ill" and sikness is "maladie". See also illness etc. How to pronunce it "siknis or sikness?". Thank you.
We are waiting for your response.

Yes, "-ness" is added to an adjective to make a NOUN that means "the state of being [adj.]"
Ex: happiness, sickness, sadness, blindness
Meanwhile "-less" is added to a noun to make an ADJECTIVE that means "lacking [n.]"
Ex: luckless, hapless, sightless, tactless, helpless
Thus, someone afflicted with blindness is sightless. Someone stricken with sadness is joyless. A dictator who reigns with ruthlessness is pitiless. Always nouns for "-ness" and adjectives for "-less".
(In both cases, the last syllable ("-ness" or "-less") is pronounced with the "schwa" vowel, which is used for all many unstressed English syllables.)

-less dénote "sans"
-ful dénote "avec"
Le mot "beautiful" dénote littéralment "avec beauté".
