Hello there! I love questions like this one!
"Make my day" means to make a day great.
However, there was a very famous movie, "Sudden Impact" starring Clint Eastwood, in which he plays a famous character "Dirty Harry", a police officer, which changed what "make my day" means, depending on the context.
Clint Eastwood has just killed two "bad guys", and the third bad guy grabs a waitress and holds his gun to her head. This action expressed to Dirty Harry, "if you shoot me, I'll kill the girl". This is the moment when Dirty Harry says, "Go ahead, make my day." Then the bad guy drops his gun.
This famous statement is really a threat. It means that if you do a bad thing, I'll get you back. (Si tu fais cette mauvaise chose, je vais me venger.) So, that famous movie, and that famous line, changed the way "make my day" is used.
Clint Eastwood's expression "Make my day" is almost as famous as Arnold Schwarznegger's "I'll be back".
