It's not necessary to be rich to be happy.The day before, I went to the shopping center and I met an old friend. She told me, that I was a good person and every body would like to have a same friend. But the reality is, as the life is good for me and I try to do the same for others.

Je te propose un peu de réécriture :
You don't need to be rich to be happy. Yesterday I went to the shopping centre and I met an old friend of mine. She told me I was a kind person everyone would like to have as a friend. In reality, as life is kind to me I try to be kind to others.
