Si vous maîtrisez ces 4 mots: everybody, somebody, anybody, nobody, alors, vous apprécierez la petite histoire ci-dessous.
Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, And Nobody
This is a little story about four people named
Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and
Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was
Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but
Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when
Nobody did what Anybody could have done!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Very interesting and funny at the same time
But with all your anybody, nobody... you made me lost my head
Keep hooking on the story so as not to get lost.

Hello mp27,
Thanks for your funny story.
I'll try to learn it and tell it to my English teacher on Thursday.
It is a good training for memory and pronunciation.

Hello bobine!
I feel I have to reply in English.
I'm glad you've had a good time reading that funny story.
Not that easy to learn it "by heart", but, after all, it's not too long.. and you can "visualise" the 4 characters as you go along!
Have a go! and have fun!
Good point for memory and pronunciation, yes, , but I'd add that it's also a good way to show off (Hum!) your good intonation.

My good intonation
Oh my dear I'm not sure it's a good idea

A very good way to try and understand the use of those nouns. If any others I'd be glad to know!!

Hi bobine!
If you printed the story in good-sized, bold characters,
You'd just have to READ it to your teacher,
and you wouldn't feel any fear of forgetting the words.
SO -> less fear, -> -> -> better pronunciation and intonation!
The most important thing: enjoy it & have fun!
Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody

Hi mp27,
I'll try with my husband and my children before
It will be easier and less dangerous
It's a shame, I'm able to talk for hours in French but I'm frightened when I have to do it in English
Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, And Nobody

I think, no I'm even sure, you're not the only one
I'm joining your group, can I at least?
Don't worry, I bet after your stay in England you'll be a "killer"

Yes, of course: THE MORE THE MERRIER!
+ + + + =
Bobine, je viens de lire ton appel:
Hello everybody !
Is there anybody who wants to speak to somebody ?
Nobody ?
You can certainly handle these 4 funny little creatures with great skill!
Anybody is invited to have a little chat with you,
in fact, everybody would love to,
but...just at this very minute, nobody is actually free to do so.
Don't worry! Be patient... somebody will eventually turn up!
Bye for now, and good luck to you and to "everyone"!
