I'm not an expert on this subject, but I think all those words are either of French or Latin origin. At least 1/2 of all words in English come from French or Latin, and interestingly, the use of those words (rather than their Germanic-origin counterparts) is commonly associated with the perception that the speaker is more educated. There's an interesting discussion of this subject at Lien Internet

Hello alexgowes,
I'm very glad to read your answer above all your Lien Internet which is very interesting. I guess you are right saying that it is an interesting discussion of this subject, because until now I'm learning English but I did not know is origin. Now I'm fixed because I have read at your Lien Internet from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that The English language is a West Germanic language that originated in England. It is the third most common first language (native speakers), with around 514 million people in 2005. English has lingua franca status in many parts of the world. Many thanks alexgowes for your search for in English. Werriy
