Bonjour,
je suis en Terminale et c'est bientôt l'oral pour moi, j'aimerais si possible que l'on corrige mon texte s'il vous plait.
Merci d'avance.
I'm going to talk about the notion of “places and forms of power”. First I will give a definition of Places and a definition of power. For me, places could be important buildings or institutions that represent a certain form of power, for example Buckingham Palace – a symbol of the British monarchy, the White – a symbol of the American presidency. And for me power it is the ability to control others, or events; the ability to make things happen despite obstacles, resistance, or opposition. This of course leads to conflict between those who have power and those who don’t.
So we may request what are the consequences of the second amendment ?
First we'll see what how the second amendment was put in place and then we'll see the acts he causes.
First, I am going to talk about a brief history of the USA. We see an extract from Michael Moore's documentary “Bowling for Columbine”which is a satirical criticism of the U.S society. Important dates in the history of the United States are given to us through this document. We can see in the video that people have always been scared of someone so to defend themselves they have used guns. First it started when pilgrims arrived in the New World and used their guns against Native Americans. It continued with the witch hunt, then they kill the British to become free. The Second amendment was passed and the carrying of guns is authorized but it does not stop there. Years later Samuel Colt made fire arms popular, after there was a civil war, the formation of the KKK and the NRA. All this shows very clearly through a video that the history of the USA is closely linked to the use of guns.Indeed, Americans got their independence thanks to guns, conquered the West thanks to guns, and kept their nation thanks to guns. They have always relied on their guns to protect themselves.
Then, after the introduction of the second amendment there were a lot of shootings, for example three hundred and seventy-seventh in twenty seventeen, especially in schools. The movie bowling for columbine shows the problem of arms in the USA, the title refers to the shooting of Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado in nineteen ninety-nine when twelve students and one teacher were murdered by two of their classmates. We saw the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, it's occurred on December fourteen, two thousand and twelve, in Newtown, Connecticut, United States, when twenty-year-old Adam Lanza fatally shot twenty children between six and seven years old, and six adult staff members. Before driving to the school, he shot and killed his mother at their Newtown home. As first responders arrived at the school, Lanza committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. These two shootings show the daily life of the US, indeed in two thousand and eighteen five thousand six hundred and sixty five people died because of firearms.
To conclude, the weapons are in American culture and history for a long time. The history of the United States is marked by the use of weapons and violence created by arms. In spite of this one can wonder why the USA are victims of so much violence by the arms whereas other country like Canada which also have the right to the carrying of arms have much less victims.

First we'll see what how(nous allons voir que comment ???) the second amendment was put in place and then we'll see the acts he(he c'est pour un humain mâle) causes.

So we may request(pourquoi ce verbe dans vos quatre notions ???) what the consequences of the second amendment are ?
First we'll see what the second amendment was put in place and then we'll see the acts it causes.
We saw an extract from Michael Moore's documentary “Bowling for Columbine”which is a satirical criticism of the U.S society it shows a brief history of a USA (il serait temps d'apprendre qu'on dit the USA, nom pluriel, les Etats Unis d'Amérique, pas un état uni...). Important dates in the history of the United States are given to us through this document. We can see in the video that people have always been scared of others so to defend themselves they have used guns. First it started when pilgrims arrived in the New World and used their guns against Native Americans. It continued with the witch hunt, then they killed the British to become free. The Second amendment was passed and the carrying of guns was authorized but it does not stop there. Years later, Samuel Colt made firearms popular, after that, there was a civil war, the formation of the KKK and the NRA. All this shows very clearly through a video that the history of the USA is closely linked to the use of guns.Indeed, Americans got their independence thanks to guns, conquered the West thanks to guns, and kept their nation thanks to guns. They have always relied on their guns to protect themselves.
Then, after the introduction of the second amendment, there were a lot of shootings, for example, thirty six thousand two hundred and fifty two dead (mettez plutôt le verbe die au préterit avec people comme sujet)because of firearms in two thousand and fifteen. There are a lot of shooting(pluriel) in school(pluriel) too and the movie Bowling for Columbine shows the problem of arms in the United States and in school(pluriel) because the title refers to the shooting of Columbine High School in Littleton in one thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine, in which twelve students and one teacher were murdered by two of their comrades. We saw the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in two thousand and two, in Newtown. When Adam Lanza shot and killed twenty children and six adult staff members. These two shootings show the daily life of the United States. In Two thousand eighteen thousand five hundred and sixty-five people died because of firearms.(pour moi, cette énumération de tueries fait un peu remplissage)
To conclude, the weapons have been in American culture and history for a long time. The history of the United States is marked by the use of weapons and violence created by arms. Nevertheless, one can wonder why the USA are victims of so much violence by the (through) arms whereas other countries like Canada which also have the right to the carry of arms have much fewer victims.
