Hello
Perhaps, you help me with this. (The grammar function of else)

What iselse the function of else? adjective or adverb ?I searched many sites of dictionaries such as Oxford, Cambridge, Collin, etc.I reached a result no agreeing between all those.Some say adverb, some say adjective, some say both.
One page said if it is a pronoun to mean other then it is adjective.On the other hand, if ( else ) likely means beside \ in addition then it is ( adverb)
Some dictionaries for both cases say it is only ( adverb ) So, which one to go with ?
Examples:
Who else knows?
Try something else. here = additional things ..you = subject and something = object
What is about else ? is it apposition Or as some say adverb ?
Where's everybody else? It is a pronoun here. How it is considered adverb ?
Everybody else = other people or persons so it is a pronoun even to mean (extra)
last sentence example : The one I ask about
I will give you something else. What else functions adverb or adjective?
