Find the missing vowels and unscramble the consonants in order to get the right word.

This week, the number of vowels is given in 6 out of 10 answers.

1- A small branch of a tree. ..... (w t g)

2- The long seed-case of the pea, bean etc. ..... (d p)

3- A bright light or fire. ..... (z l b) 2

4- (Any variety of) a type of small flowerless plant, found in damp places, forming a soft green covering on tree trunks etc. ..... (s m s)

5- To burn or turn black by fire or heat. ..... (h c r) 1

6- A line of bushes etc planted so closely together that their branches form a solid mass, grown round the edges of gardens, fields etc. ..... (d h g)

7- To think (about something) anxiously for some time. ..... (r b d) 2

8- To force (something out of something) gradually and with difficulty. ..... (k w n l) 2

9- A type of long-handle weapon, usually with an iron or steel point on the end. ..... (p s r) 2

10- A bird, especially domestic, (hens, ducks, geese etc). ..... (w l f) 1

Hi Everybody!

Here is my work:
1- A small branch of a tree. ..... (w t g) twig = brindille.
2- The long seed-case of the pea, bean etc. (d p) pod = cosse de haricots, petits pois, gousse de vanille..
3- A bright light or fire. (z l b) 2 blaze = incendie, flambée, brasier.
4- (Any variety of) a type of small flowerless plant, found in damp places, forming a soft green covering on tree trunks etc. (s m s) moss = mousse.
5- To burn or turn black by fire or heat. (h c r) 1 char = carboniser, calciner.
6- A line of bushes etc planted so closely together that their branches form a solid mass, grown round the edges of gardens, fields etc. (d h g) hedge = haie.
7- To think (about something) anxiously for some time. (r b d) 2 brood = ressasser, ruminer.
8- To force (something out of something) gradually and with difficulty. (k w n l) 2 winkle = extraire, extirper.
9- A type of long-handle weapon, usually with an iron or steel point on the end. (p s r) 2 spear = lance, harpon.
10- A bird, especially domestic, (hens, ducks, geese etc). (w l f) 1 fowl = volaille.
