2- A strong, bad smell. (c s h t n) 1 stench = puanteur.
3- A synonym of "enemy". (f) foe = ennemi.
4- To play, or trail in water. (b b l d) dabble = barboter.
5- To throw loosely in different directions. (t c s r t) 2 scatter = se disperser.
6- Miserable; unhappy. (f w l) 3 woeful = lamentable, triste, affligeant, dramatique, malheureux.
7- The den of a wild beast. (r l) lair = l'antre, le repaire, la tanière.
8- The claw of a bird of prey. (l t n) talon = serres.
9- Marvellous; splending. (m g n s s h) 2 smashing = épatant, formidable.
10- A small amount. (t j) 1 jot = un iota, un brin de....
