Hello,
Could you help me please?
In the test "test d'anglais n°6172", I don't understand why we say "Sandra's boat" : "Her boat" but we say "The Johnsons' dog" ,"Their dog".
Why for a man is their and not his here ?
I would say "His dog" and not "Their dog" because he is alone, if it was ""The Sandra and Johnsons' dog" and I would say "their dog".
Isn't it right ?

Hello,
The Johnsons' dog = le chien des Johnson.
Johnsons' est un cas possessif qui est indiqué par l'apostrophe '
Les Johnsons est le pluriel de Johnson car ils sont plusieurs dans la famille.
