-->Dalits is being forgotten when the elections are over by Political parties.

-->Dalits is being ignored repeated calls for protection by Police officials.
e. A Hindu extremist assassinated Gandhi in New Delhi on 30 Januar 1948.
-->Gandhi was assassined in New Delhi on 30 January 1948 by a Hindu extremist.
a.They (make) to dig graveyards for high-caste peoples's burial.
-->They is being made...
b.Dalit women (face) the triple buurden of caste, class and gender.
-->Dalit women is facing...
c. Ghandhi (prétérit- rename) the Untouchables "harijan" (the children of God). They (now - call) Dalits, which (mean) "broken people".
-->Ghandhi is being renamed... They is being called now... is means...
d.In spite of the positive dicrimination policy, most of the communities who were low in the caste hierarchy (remain) low in the social order today.

bonsoir hasnacha!
1) a.je pense que le verbe dans cette phrase est "declared", "tehe use of the term "Untouchable"" sera plutôt le sujet
-->The use of the term "untouchable" was declared illegal by the Assembly of India, in 1949 b.n'oubliez pas que le temps de verbe "to be" est le temps du verbe à la voix active: peresent perfect, et il ne faut jamais avaler l'adverbe!
-->Social change has been slowed down by Police corruption. c.je n'ai rien à dire je crois
-->Repeated calls have been ignored by Police officials[...] e.ok!
-->remain
NB: le verbe "to be" est utilisé devant un verbe dans le gérondif, et donne la forme: sujet+to be conjugué+verbe+ING et s'emploi pour les actions qui se font au moment où l'on parle, "they" est un sujet au pluriel!
exemple: I am eating a cake.
