Bonjour!
Je m'exerce sur un exercice sur les modaux, et comme j'ai du mal j'aimerais bien que vous me dites s'il vous plait si j'ai fais des fautes, merci
Il faut remplacer ce qu'il y a en souligné par soit: can, couldn't, may, must, mustn't, needn't, should, shouldn't, would, wouldn't.
1)if you want students to respect you, it's better to treat them with respect.
-->(...) It can't better to treat them with respect.
2)It's vital for young teachers to look both calm and lively.
-->It must be vital (...).
3)if you're a new teacher, it's best not to mention it.
-->(...) It would best not to mention it.
4)it's essential for young teachers not to sound hesitant.
-->it must be essential (...).
5)it's unnecessary to be too friendly.Students usually despise demagogues.
-->It needn't to be (...).
6)I once had a student who refused to speak to me.
-->(...) who wouldn't to speak to me.
7)he used to stare out of the window for hours on end.
-->je ne sais pas du tout.
8)"it is possible for us to talk about it later", I said to him one morning.
-->It may be for us to (...).
9)he was unable to say a word.
-->He should to say a word.
10)then I said to him: "you have the right to leave the room"
-->(...) You mest have the right to leave the room.
merci encore!
