Bonjour,
pouvez-vous corriger ce texte sur la vendée s'il vous plait?
Merci pour vos réponses.
Once of our correspondent went in France. One month after the disaster, the situation is dramatic. A storm Xynthia destroyed La faute-sur-mer and l’Aiguillon and a part of the Sables d'Olonne.
This event took place, Saturday, the 27 of February. It was during the weekend, at night " We lost everything said an inhabitant of L’aiguillon.
Today, the causes of the storm are known: a spring tide and a big wind. The Human balance sheet is terrible. 29 persons died and there are 7 missing persons. People who had climbed on their roof stayed there during all night.
In many villages the electricity was cut for a long time. Houses next to the sea were flooded and broken.
Today, the French government builds a new dike and plans to destroy houses too close to the sea. The inhabitants will receive 150 000 Euro of compensation.
This summer, the vacationers shall not recognize the beaches of Vendee.

Hello
You should tell us about the disaster before you say how dramatic it was. If you map out the sequence of events, you might be able to reconstruct them in a more logical order.
On Saturday, the 27th of February, ...
1. The storm happens. Tell us all about the storm and why it happened.
2. The correspondent goes to France to survey the damage.
3. The damage is devastating. Tell us about the damage.
4. Tell us what the government is doing to help people and to fix the problem.
Today, the French government builds... This verb tense is incorrect. What do you think it should be instead? Is the action ongoing or habitual?

Bonjour,
Voici mes suggestions:
Once (orthographe) of our correspondent (mettre au pluriel) went in (à=to,at,in; in n'est pas correct dans ce cas) France. One month after the disaster, the situation is (temps) dramatic. A storm Xynthia destroyed La faute-sur-mer and l’Aiguillon and a part of the Sables d'Olonne.
This event (utiliser synonyme; event évoque un événement positif) took place, Saturday, the 27 of February. It was during the weekend, at night " (manque l'autre guillemet) We lost everything said an inhabitant (correct - 'resident' marche bien aussi) of L’aiguillon.
Today, the causes of the storm are known: a spring tide and a big (utiliser synonyme) wind. The Human balance sheet (=terme comptabilité, recliquer sur bilan afin de trouver une autre possibilité) losses is terrible. 29 persons died and there are 7 missing persons (écrire les chiffres en lettres au début des phrases ET pour les chiffres moins de 10). People who had climbed on their roof stayed there during all (placement) night.
In many villages the electricity was cut (utiliser synonyme) for a long time. Houses next to the sea were flooded and broken.
Today, the French government builds a new dike and plans to destroy houses too close to the sea. The inhabitants (à préciser: chacun des habitants? ou partageront-ils cette somme? ) will receive 150 000 Euro of compensation.
This summer, the vacationers shall not recognize the beaches of Vendee.
Hope this helps!
