Wuthering Heights /correction

Bonjour,
Alors voilà, je dois faire un exercice de traduction du français vers l'anglais mais je ne suis pas sûr de mes phrases, je ne suis pas très fort dans ce genre d'exercice, est-ce qu'il serait possible d'avoir une correction ? Merci d'avance !
Wuthering Heights, roman d'Emily Brontë.(Les Hauts de Hurlevent) 1847.
1) Il faisait si sombre sur cette lande effrayante et le temps était si épouvantable que le narrateur perdit son chemin et dut être logé pour la nuit par Heathcliff, le propriétaire de Wuthering Heights.
It was so dark on this frightening moor and the time was so appaling as the narrator lost his way and must be lodged for night by Heathcliff, the owner of Wuthering Heights.
2) Lorsque Lockwood étendit le bras, il ne s'attendait pas à sentir une main glaciale saisir la sienne. Il fut d'abord terrifié et pensa que c'était un horrible cauchemar ou une hallucination.
When Lockwood stretching the arm, he did not expect to smell an ice-cold hand to grab his. He was first terrified and thought that it was a ghastly nightmare or a hallucination.
3) Il était si horrifié qu'il devint brutal et même sadique. Il essaya de se débarrasser du fantôme et de l'empêcher d'entrer. Mais la main tremblante s'accrochait à la sienne.
He was so horrified as he became brutal and even sadistic. He tried to get rid of ghost and to prevent it from entering. But the trembling hand clung to it.
4) Fou de terreur, il se mit à hurler. Il entendit alors un bruit de pas et vit scintiller la lueur d'une bougie.
Mad with terror, he started to howl. He heard then a hasty footsteps and saw glimmered the light of a candle.
5) Lorsqu'Heathcliff se rendit compte que le démon qui avait tellement troublé son hôte était en fait Catherine et qu'elle était désespérée, il eut le coeur brisé et la supplia de revenir le hanter.
When Heathcliff realised that the fiend who had so much flustered his guest was in fact Catherine and that she was despaired, he had the broken heart and implore her to return haunt him.

) as [that] the narrator lost his way and must be (erreur de temps) lodged for [article] night by Heathcliff, the owner of Wuthering Heights.
2. When Lockwood stretching (verb form) the (possessive pronoun) arm, he did not expect to smell (wrong translation of sentir) an ice-cold hand to grab (verb form) his. He was first terrified and thought that it was a ghastly nightmare or a hallucination.
