Bonjour à tous !
Me revoilà avec mes transcriptions de vidéos
Voici celle que j'ai choisie pour aujourd'hui :

Et voici la transcription que j'ai tenté d'en faire :
It’s in the night, New York began to feel the power of Irene. The city was pummeled by wind and torrential rain, much worse is expected in the hours ahead. For the mayor XXXXXXXX emergency.
“Time for evacuation is over. Everyone should now go inside and be prepared to stay inside until weather conditions approve which won’t likely be until Sunday afternoon”
This is Irene’s brutal handiwork : power lines down a petrol station in pieces, cars, tomes submerged, a boat screw carried / carelessly XXX to shore, all in North Carolina, the first state to take a direct hit.
She is XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX the strongest hurricane to hit these shores, with 600 miles wide, Irene is vast.
The cost in lives is melting, an 11 year old boy, one of those killed by falling tree.
New York is next, the city’s transport network has been shut down, residents ordered to leave lowland areas, potential rescuers relieve work to come, the state government has called uniform reinforcement
"XXX National guard about 1000, doubled the number 2000"
Late last night the final XXXXXXX has left XXXXXXXXXXXX and decimated Time Square to take shelter. As the rains calms down, New York waits, for the eye of Irene has passed through or close to America’s biggest city. In the words of the mayor here, we’re hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.
D'avance, merci !

Hello,
into the night, New York began to feel the power of Irene. The city was pummeled by wind and torrential rain, with much worse expected in the hours ahead. For the mayor, a sense of urgency.
“The time for evacuation is over. Everyone should now go inside and be prepared to stay inside until weather conditions improve which won’t likely be until Sunday afternoon”
This is Irene’s brutal handiwork : power lines down, a petrol station in pieces, cars and homes submerged, a boat's crew precariously caught? to shore, all in North Carolina, the first state to take a direct hit.
She is by no means the strongest hurricane to hit these shores, but at nearly 600 miles wide, Irene is vast.
The cost in lives is mounting, an 11-year-old boy, one of those killed by a falling tree.
New York is next, the city’s transport network has been shut down, and residents ordered to leave low-lying areas, with potential rescues and relief work to come, the state government has called in uniformed reinforcement .
" We are deploying the National guard, about 1000, which just doubled the number to 2000"
Late last night, the final struggle has left a drenched and desolate Time Square to take shelter. And so, as the rains calms down, New York waits, for the eye of Irene to pass through or close to America’s biggest city. In the words of the mayor here, we’re hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.
(French listener, I might have misheard a few things)

Hello
Building on Gerondif's reply...
This is Irene’s brutal handiwork: power lines down, a petrol station in pieces, cars and homes submerged, a boat's crew precariously pulled to shore, all in North Carolina, the first state to take a direct hit.
New York is next, the city’s transport network has been shut down, and residents ordered to leave low-lying areas, with potential rescues and relief work to come, the state Governor has called in uniformed reinforcements .
" We have deployed the National guard, about 1000, we just doubled the number to 2000"
Late last night, the final stragglers left a drenched and desolate Times Square to take shelter. And so, as the rain comes down, New York waits, for the eye of Irene to pass through or close to America’s biggest city. In the words of the mayor here, we’re hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.
