Correction/tell the truth

Le sujet est " should the truth be told in all circumstances?"

voilà mon travail :

This subject is a well-known fact. Truth is an important value for everybody. Nevertheless the truth the truth isn’t really present in our society. Everyone lied in the past. But is it always bad? Let us weigh the pro and cons?

Lying isn’t a good solution. We always should say the truth. Lies bring a lot of troubles. Furthermore, when we do a mistake, it’s better to not to hide it. If we start tell a lie, another will have to cover the last one, and so on.
A good friend should always tell the truth and be outspoken. It helps people to evaluate. This way, they can delete their defaults. And how can we count on someone on a liar? It feels good to know that someone will always say that he really thinks about you. People very often feels guilty when they get involved in a lie and prefer revealing the truth whatever consequences come up.

By contrast, some people keep everything for themselves because they don’t want to hurt or being in conflict with the others. Sometimes lies can be useful. Let us take the example of your grandmother, who isn’t used to cook, prepares you a Christmas lunch. If it’s disgusting, when she asks you how you find it, you can’t tell what you think. It would be mean and not worth at all. It only would hurt her and in this case, truth doesn’t need to be told.
Lies can help to make kids dreaming. Make believe kids in characters like Santa Clos isn’t a bad idea. It’s a “nice” lie which makes happy children. Furthermore, it’s a good reason for tidy up their room otherwise Santa wouldn’t pass.

To conclude, it’s necessary to tell the truth only when it has a positive consequence sooner or later. You have to make sure that it’s useful to reveal it.

Merci par avance, et bonnes fêtes de fin d'annèe à tous !

Bonjour En premier, je vous signale les fautes.

"Truth" is not a value, "Honesty" is. "Truth" is what results from being "Honest".

Hello,

tout d'abord, merci pour ton aide!

This is a well-known fact: honesty is an important value for everyone.

Nevertheless, the truth isn’t really present in our society. Everyone has lied in the past. But is it always bad? Let us weigh the pro and cons?
Lying isn’t a good solution. We always should tell the truth. Lies bring a lot of troubles. Furthermore, when we make a mistake, it’s better to not to hide it. If we start to tell a lie, another will have to cover up the last one, and so on.

A good friend should always tell the truth and be outspoken. It helps people to get better. This way, they canovercome their faults. And how can we count on a liar? Lies can help to make kids dreaming.(je veux dire : les mensonges peuvent faire rêver les enfants) Believe in characters like Santa Claus isn’t a bad idea. It’s a “nice” lie which makes happy children. Furthermore, it’s a good reason for tidying up their room otherwise Santa wouldn’t come (c'est fou ce qu'un faux ami peut changer le sens d'une phrase .... )

Hello again! It's much better now.

Nevertheless, honesty isn’t really present in our society nowadays. Everyone has lied in the past. But is it always bad? Let us weigh the pros and cons? (It's not a question)
Lying isn’t a good solution. We always should tell the truth. Lies bring a lot of troubles. Furthermore, when we make a mistake, it’s better to (inutile) not to hide it. If we start to tell a lie, another will have to cover up the previous one, and so on.

A good friend should always tell the truth and be outspoken. It helps us to get better (become a better person? be more honest?). This way, we can overcome our faults. And how can we count on a liar? It feels good to know that someone will always say what he really thinks about you. People very often feels guilty when they get involved in a lie and prefer revealing (infinitif vaut mieux) the truth whatever consequences come up.

By contrast, some people keep everything to themselves because they don’t want to hurt or being in conflict with the (inutile) others. Sometimes lies can be useful. Let us take the example of your grandmother, who isn’t used to cooking, preparing you a Christmas lunch. If it’s disgusting, when she asks you how you like it, you can’t tell her what you think. It would be mean and not worth it at all. It would only hurt her and in this case, the truth doesn’t need to be told.
Lies can help to make kids dreaming help kids dream. Believing in characters like Santa Claus isn’t a bad idea. It’s a “white” lie which makes children happy. Furthermore, it’s a good reason for tidying up their room otherwise Santa wouldn’t come.

white lie:
a harmless or small lie, especially one that you tell to avoid hurting somebody
