Bonjour,
voici une interview écrite en anglais. Le sujet est la mise en scène d'un couple utilisant la science pour choisir les traits et caractéristiques physiques de leur enfant ....
Merci pour toutes les corrections éventuelles que vous ferez.
Hello, I’m Kate Smith and you are listening to BBC.
(jingle)
Today, our morning interview deals with genetic engineering. Mr and Mrs Mchalister are here to explain their choice of having a designed baby.
So Mr and Mrs Mchalister, why did you decide to design your baby?
Nowadays, we live in a society in which you must be the best, a society where there is no place for weak and imperfect persons. That’s why we decided to design our baby to give him the best chance to strive in our society.
How do you want your baby to look like ?
We absolutely want a boy to be sure he won’t suffer from prejudice. He must be blond, It’s quite cute; he must have blue eyes, I’ve always dreamed to have blue eyes but my family is brown eyed. He must be strong and athletic and smart in order for him to have the best abilities and to be efficient. We want to give him the best chances for life.
What do you expect from him?
We expect him to be the best in everything he’ll begin. We put a lot of money in him, but the money doesn’t matter. We believe that he is an investment who will be able to pay us back a thousand more.
What type of life do you plan for him?
Well, his folder has already been sent to the best schools and colleges in the country.
Don’t you think you are putting too much pressure on this tinny embryo?
No, we don’t think so. We want what it’s best for him and I’m sure that he will thanks us later.
Will you consider this baby as yours even if he doesn't share common traits with you ?
Of course yes ! First, we spent a lot of money on him, and we don't like wasting it, so yes it'll be our son, a really better version of us, a version that will be proud of.
Concerning money, how much this process cost ,
We has spent more than 30 000 dollars, but it's totally worth it.
Ok, thank you for have been sharing your view points.
