Hello !
Please,I just wanted to know if you can say "a char" or if you say "chars" or whatever when talking about something blacken by burning.

Hello,
I seem to find char only as a verb. Charred remains.....
char /tʃɑː(r)/
I.(familier)noun GB (cleaner) femme f de ménage.
II.transitive verb (p prés etc -rr-) carboniser.
III.intransitive verb (p prés etc -rr-) se carboniser.

char can be used as an adjective as "charred":
This steak is very charred!
