Bonjour,
J'aimerais comprendre pourquoi c'est cette réponse et pas celle que j'ai mise à l'exercice suivant sur le present perfect VS present perfect continuous.
1. Tom's has got an important job to finish by the end of the month. J'AI MIS >>He has been staying<< LA REPONSE >>has stayed<<(stay) at work until after 10 o'clock three days this week already.
2. Marie has been in Stockholm for a few weeks now. J'AI MIS >> She has stayed<< LA REPONSE >>has been staying<< (stay) with her friend Inga while she's there.
5. A) where have you been all day? B) J'AI MIS >> I have finished<< LA REPONSE >>have been<< finishing (finish) my homework.
7. A) Do you fancy a game of squash this week end? B) No thanks. J'AI MIS >>I have been playing<< LA REPONSE >>have played<< (play) a couple of times before, but I just can't get the hang of it.
12. There have been a lot of burglaries in the area recently, so now J'AI MIS >>we have been putting<< LA REPONSE >>have put<< (put) locks on all of our doors.
Merci de bien vouloir éclairer ma lanterne.

Hello,
Dans cet exercice certaines actions sont encore en cours, d'autres sont sous forme de bilan.
Encore en cours = 2/5 donc v-ing
Bilan =1/7/12 donc PP simple
Hope this helps.

Hello.
I am changing the sentences to make your choices useable. See if you can determine a rule.
Tom's has got an important job to finish by the end of the month. He has been staying at work until after 10 o'clock, but for the rest of this week he will stay until midnight.
2. Marie has been in Stockholm for a few weeks now. She has stayed with her friend Inga before, but this time she is staying with a different friend.
5. A) Are you going to start your homework? No, I have (already) finished my homework.
7. A) Do you fancy a game of squash this week end? B) No thanks. I have played it only once before, and I just can't get the hang of it.
12. There have been a lot of burglaries in the area recently, so
I hope this is helpful. Sherry
