Understanding your customers is necessary in fashion market. As we know, every customer is different, for example: age is difference (adolescent, young adult, adult, middle age or elder customers.) Besides, for wealth customers can separate in different social levels as well (rich, poor etc.). In addition, for place some of customers live in metropolis, but the others live in rural area. These are reasons why important to classify the customers into different categories. With this knowledge, we will be able to provide better fashion products to our customers. This technique of classification is known as the STP (segmentation, targeting and positioning). To identify the customer needs and satisfy their desire is a key part in fashion business.
The role of market research: in the fashion business, after the product cost, the most important cost is the mark down (the discount, sales), because this type of sales reduce the benefit for the retailer.
That is for this reason a market research will help the retailer to sold the goods quickly and reduce the quantity of sales in mark down.

These are (some) reasons why (it is)important to classify the customers into different categories. With this knowledge, we will be able to provide better fashion products to our customers. This technique of classification is known as the STP (segmentation, targeting and positioning). To identify (à mettre au gérondif) the customer needs and satisfy their desire is a key part in fashion business.

Besides, in terms of wealth customers separate into different social levels - rich, poor etc. In addition, some customers live in cities but others live in rural areas. These are (some)reasons why (it is) important to classify customers into different categories.
