Hello,
In exercise 102196 , sentence 8, I´d like to know if it is possible to use the present perfect instead of the simple present.
Kate´s mother has asked.... I think the most important in this sentence is the effect of the action, the evidence that Kate does what her mother has asked her not to do.
Thank you for your help.

Hello,
That sentence was not very clear. You could have present simple, present perfect or past simple.
I changed it by adding 'yesterday', so that the only possibility is to use the past simple.
q: Yesterday Kate's mother * (ask) her not to watch TV in the evening on weekdays.
a: asked
