Bac/Spaces and exchanges
Message de todo2012 posté le 07-05-2014 à 14:28:34 (S | E | F)
Bonjour
je requiers votre aide pour l'amélioration d'une synthèse que j'ai faite pour les oraux du Bac qui approchent,et si vous pouviez la lire et m'indiquer des erreurs quelconques je vous en remercierais.

To introduce the notion « Spaces and exchanges » , I would like to define the exchange. The exchange is a continuous output, is also a continuous movement or circulation (people, trade, medias..) futhermore a general movement or tendency. When we studied this notion we linked the exchange to the immigration ,especially the immigration in the direction of the united states. So we could ask ourselves : »What do the new Americans aspire to ? »
In the first place we will see the origine of immigration and in the second place we focus on the exemple of Ellis Island the birth-place of immigration
First of all we will see the origine of immigration. The immigration, can be define by the process of intering another country in order to live there. People migrate because they don’t find a job or maybe they don’t earn enough money because of the global economic crisis, they want to reside the American dream . Maybe they leave their country in so as to escape war or to enjoy better weather. Unless they are maybe political refugee or they moove to follow their company. We can illustrate two of this example throught an oral comprehension,. In the oral comprenhension we can listen two people who immigrate for differents reasons . One of them immigrate to makes her dream come true, she wants to become a profesionnal dancer but she didn’t find a good place to dancing in Taiwan that’s why she immigrates. She had the choice. By contrast the second personn don’t have the choice, she immigrates with her mother and her sister because of the war in Iran. She immigrates to the U.S to find great living conditions. In addition thanks to a graphic that we studied we can deduce that the majority of immigrants come from Mexico . In fact they represent more than a quarter of immigrants, but they also come from Philippines, India, Vietnam and Korea which are country with economical, political and social difficulties.
Secondly we will focus on the exemple of Ellis Island. It is Located in New-york harbour near the Satue of Liberty, Ellis Island is a landmark immigration into the united states. It was the main United states receiving station for people of diverse origins : Russians, poles, Germans, Italians, etc.. Immigrants were quarantined on the island until their entry was approved. They had to pass medical and literacy test before entering America. They came on ships from many countries. Today Ellis Island is a museum that commemorates the millions of united states citizens who entered the country there. To illustrate the process of the immigrants we haved studied an oral comprehension which a Grandpa relate to his granddaugther his experience of the emmigration and his journey to Ellis Island, finally the granddaugther discover the name of her grandpa in the Wall of honour.

To conclude the Unites States became the country of diversity, a « Melting-pot » thanks to its opening of the immigration. We can illustrate this diversity by a cover of « the time » this picture deals with a woman that was created by a computer she is a blend of several races and it symbolizes« the new face of America ». Besides we can notice an integration towards the immigrants thanks to the « Dream act » in fact barack obama formulated accross a speech the idea that the dreamers (immigrants ayant toujours vecus comme des americains ) can be protect by a law if there are undocumented immigrants. But this integration must be qualify. That’s why we haved studied an other oral comprehension « talking about immigration » which two people discussed but one of them discovered that his colleague is an immigrant, while he wants to call the number of the immigration service. Finally this comprehension illustrates how immigration maters divided people. It is a topical issue.

Merci d'avacance !
