Bonjour,
Pouvez-vous m'aider à corriger ce devoir s'il vous plait?
Merci pour vos réponses.
I am going to tell you briefly about my favourite free-time activity.
It’s all about computer games. I quite like them. As a child, computer games fascinated me and I became interested in it. The thing is when I play them I feel free; I mean I forget everything around. It’s a good way for me to relax especially when I’m stressed out. I often play with my friends. They come and we buy a drink or two and sometimes I play on my own. I don’t really mind one way or the other.
But I suppose one day I will have to stop playing them because I reckon they have a very nasty side. In fact, they can take over people’s life a bit and I remember sometimes I can play for hours and hours forgetting important things I have to do.

Hello,
As a child, computer games(pluriel, ok) fascinated me and I became interested in it(singulier, pas ok!).

Hello.
In addition to gerondif's correction, I would add one more. For 'people’s life'...life is singular, but people is not. Which correction will you make, singular or plural?
Sherry

Hello,
"people’s life " est faux parce que les gens ont chacun une vie, donc pluriel:
en français on dit aux élèves: Ouvrez votre livre alors qu'en anglais on dit :"Open your books" 25 élèves, 25 livres...

Hello,
So I should have said "in people lives"?

Hello,
in people lives" est faux car il manque le cas possessif: les vies des gens

Hello trauzeur,
Gerondif has answered your question, I think.
If you wanted to use the singular form, you would have to say...in a person's life.
Sherry
