Bonjour,
Quelqu'un pourrait-il m'aider sur la grammaire et la tournure des phrases de mon texte sur "Spaces and Exchanges" pour l'oral du Bac s'il vous plait? Merci beaucoup !
The notion "Spaces and exchanges" deals with the geographical and symbolic areas that all societies occupy and the interactions between men and different societies. Our world is built on the exploration and conquest of new spaces. The different cultural, economic, sociological and language interactions have transformed and characterized our modern-day world-sometimes for the better, sometimes for worse.Among the whole of the propositions offered by the notion "spaces and exchanges", I chose to speak about Hispanic’s immigration, mainly in the United States.
Why are there so many Hispanic immigrants in the US? This immigration is better or worse for the American’s economy? On the one hand we will explain what is mean “the American dream” for emigrants and on the other hand we will see what is the impact of Latinos immigrants in America.
I.The American dream
Throughout American history, millions of people around the world have left their homelands for a chance to start a new life in this country—and they continue to come here to this day. Immigrants have had different reasons to come to America. Some came to escape war, others for the freedom to practice the religion of their choice. Still others came for the opportunity to own land or simply for a chance to work and escape poverty. Many Hispanics want to go to the US because they want a better life, they want to live the “American Dream” an others words the “from rags to riches” myth story. It’s mean to find a job with a good income, a better education for their children and last but not the least to be more freedom for Cubans for example.
II. The negatives consequences on the US society
Impacts deriving of Mexican migration are manifested in multiple spheres of social, political and economic life. Moreover the Spanish, where is a hybrid language between Spanish and English, show the importance of Hispanic’s culture in US. But many people think that Latino community is a danger for all the Americans.
For illustrate this we can speak about the Arizona’s illegal immigration law : In 200 Arizona governor voted a law which allowed police officers to question and arrest any Hispanic if they suspect him or her to be an illegal immigrant. Indeed there are more illegal immigrants coming to the US than legal immigrants. Therefore they take the jobs of low-skilled Americans and American tax-payers pay for their education or their health.
III. The positives consequences on the US society
However this law is condemned by many people as the singer Shakira because it’s would lead to racial profiling. Besides, illegal immigrants accept very low wages and do the worst jobs that more and more Americans refuse to do. Others say that illegal immigrants have the right to access education and healthcare because they are humans. By the way the Mexican community enables the American economy to work: without the cheap labour force these foreign workers provide, many sectors couldn’t operate: according to Jorge Ramos who have written a book in the Mexican impact in the US, they work in the fruit and vegetable industries or the service industry (for example in back kitchens in restaurants). Furthermore the author makes the readers aware that lots of immigrants born in Mexico who work in the US have doctorates degrees. Thus society couldn’t work properly without them.
Conclusion:
To conclude, we can say that today 16, 5 percent of the Hispanics minority living in the US. Lots of them come from Mexico nowadays because they want to realize the American road to success and happiness. As a result they are more important in some economics sectors and this generates positives and negatives impacts in American society.
In my opinion the best way to restrict migration is to help people in developing countries, to make governments sign international rules and laws against war, ethnic conflicts and human rights violation that’s to say to tackle the causes of migration.
