perhaps take after means 'similar to',for example--Mary takes after her mother
and ,look after can be used almost everywhere,for example--the man looks like our headmaster

Be careful... You're mixing up: "look like" = "to be similar to" and "look after" = to take care of, to watch.

Oh,sorry,I just treat ‘look after’ as ‘look like’,because they (take after and look like)have similar meaning,
I think ‘look after’ means take care of
