Bonjour,
- Welcome to the 21st century (pouvoir de l'argent)
- Should Wikileaks be banned ? (Contre pouvoirs ?)
- Steve Jobs speech at Stanford University in June 2005 (pouvoir de la technologie)
Où j'en suis:
First of all I would like to give a definition of «Power». It’s the ability or official capacity to exercise control or authority over others. It can be a person, a group, or a nation having great influence over people. Power is exercised through a variety of relationships sustained or accepted, often internalized. . It can be exerted in different spheres : economy, politics, media…
How have civil rights activists used nonviolent protest to bring about change in the USA?
Power is exercised primarily with of money.
In class, we study a document about money : "Welcome to the 21st Century", which is a extract of "an outrageous man." This text presents two characters: a business lawyer and a translator. A New york lawyer wants to buy a large part of the Czech economy, so he needs a translator to complete the transaction. It pays five times its normal price. In this extract the translator discovers the importance of money through the pretension, arrogance of the lawyer. This translation is horrified by this businessman.
Hopefully, exists counter power: recently the movement of indignants occupy wall street for shows to the world what they think about economic system.
Wikileaks is an on-line organization which releases secret information from anonymous sources. It has revealed secret files and created a real mess in the international scene. It also raises a major issue : what are or what should be the limits to convey information ? Should Not classified elements remain secret ? Indeed, some traditional media have approached Wikileaks for endangering the lives of those involved in the cases revealed by the organization
To conclude, we can see that powers are very present in our society today. But thanks to counter-powers, we can see stability. Indeed it can be dramatic if one of them becomes too powerful. We can go to a dictatorial regime or anarchy.

XXX= missing elements. blue =mistake.

Hopefully, exists counter power:(ordre des mots : sujet + verbe! + grammaire.) recently the movement of XXX indignants occupy wall street for shows to the world what they think about XXX economic system.

Hello here4u
First of all I would like to give a definition of «Power». It’s the ability or official capacity to exercise control or authority over others. It can be a person, a group, or a nation having great influence over people. Power is exercised through a variety of relationships sustained or accepted, often internalized. . It can be exerted in different spheres : economy, politics, media, technology… Power is both a source of political, social integration and personal and revealing tensions and conflicts within the group. The power also involves the counter powers: how do we limit power ? How resistant are we to him?
1- Power is exercised primarily with of money.
First, we'll talk about the power of money. For me the document that best shows the power of money is "Welcome to the 21st Century" that we have studied in class.
This is a extract of "an outrageous man." This text presents two characters: a lawyer and a translator. A New-York lawyer wants to buy a large part of the Czech economy, so he needs a translator to complete the transaction. It pays five times its normal price. In this extract the translator discovers the importance of money through the pretension, arrogance of the lawyer. This translation is horrified by this businessman. If we take the example of this lawyer, we can see that the money brings great opportunities but rich people are not friendly; and they are arrogant. So we can say that money is a form of power.
The power of technology also exists.
2- Power is exercised also with the politic

Hello !
Power is both a source of political, social integration and personal and revealing tensions and conflicts within the group. The power also involves the counter powers: how do we limit power ? How resistant are we to him?
1- Power is exercised primarily with of money.

The power of technology also exists.
2-Power is exercised also(word order) with the politic.
