I agree with you morenita this exercice should be rated
But the scale goes from 1 to 3
You could have tried as domi68 tried by doing only a part of the exercice.
Well, I give you the right answers:
1) I refused to embark on such a risky entreprise
To embark on a boat but in business english this means launch into.
2) He was tricked into this business by his former colleagues
He has let his former colleagues drag him in that business but it wasn't his will or doesn't forsee the consequences.
3) On his return, he was asked to account for all his expenses
4) They won't succeed if you don't back them up in one way or another.
5) I noticed that she was gradually warming toward the position she was offered.
6) All the documents pertaining to this affair are classified.
to pertain = to concern or to refer

I am really unhappy! I have lost the personnal answers I wrote you!
So I do it again:
domi:
5) I noticed that she was gradually warm to the position she was offered
you need the progessive tense because of gradually.
6) You gave me an answer I haven't thought about. But it is all right.
dandoun:
1) embark into doesn't exist
embark in
embark on ( board)
embark upon = to start processing
You' aren't lucky at all!
2) warmed up = heatted.
3) tricked on is passive. Here his manager or the accounting team ask him to justify his exenses.
4) I don't think ask toward exist. I will look for.
5) That can be said even if you take a phrasal verb for an other sentence.
6) same answer that the one I have done to domi.
Thank you all for your courage.

I was unlucky this time but maybe the next time I will do better.
Thanks yannloic.
